Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JustVerify (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use justverify.et and our payment verification API.

1. Who we are

JustVerify provides an Ethiopia-hosted API and dashboard to verify public bank and mobile-money receipt references. Contact: hello@justverify.et.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email, password (hashed), optional company and phone.
  • Usage data — API calls, quotas, plan, IP address, timestamps, and error metadata.
  • Verification inputs — payment references, provider codes, optional receipt URLs or OCR images you submit, and returned receipt fields needed to confirm a payment.
  • Billing data — invoices and payment status; card/mobile money details are handled by our payment processor (for example Chapa), not stored as full card numbers by JustVerify.

3. How we use information

  • Provide verification, dashboards, API keys, and support.
  • Enforce plans, quotas, rate limits, and security controls.
  • Send service emails (verification, billing, usage, and important notices).
  • Improve reliability, prevent fraud/abuse, and meet legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Banks / wallets — only as needed to query public receipt endpoints you ask us to verify.
  • Infrastructure & email providers — hosting, DNS, and email delivery (for example Resend).
  • Payment processors — when you pay an invoice.
  • Authorities — if required by applicable law.

5. Retention

We keep account and verification records for as long as needed to operate the service, support audits/disputes, enforce quotas, and comply with law. You may request account closure by contacting us.

6. Security

API keys are hashed at rest. Passwords are stored with strong one-way hashing. Use HTTPS, protect your keys, and rotate them if exposed. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

7. Your choices

  • Update account details in the dashboard where available.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of personal data by emailing hello@justverify.et.
  • Stop using the service and request account closure.

8. Children

JustVerify is intended for business and adult users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
